Access Control Solutions
from £400 fitted

Controlling who has access to your building, and when, is a common problem for employers. You have to entrust employees with alarm codes and keys, and suffer inconvenience when someone leaves the company and have to change codes and/or keys.

Well, there's a simpler way. Our range of Access Control Solutions range from single internal doors to fully networked systems. We fit Paxton equipment as standard, with a wide range of options available, with fobs, cards and watch tags to secure your site.

Why carry a massive bundle of keys, and always be searching for the right one when you can open every door in your organization using just one handy fob or card. Many organizations print the cards with employee identification information as well, to aid in recovery should they be lost or stolen.

Single Doors - Multiple Doors - Pricing & Contact

Access Control Simplifies you life!
Simplify your life!

Single Doors

Our Single Door systems can range from keypads to magnetic cards to proximity systems. There are two systems available, and their abilities differ slightly in operation. The main differences are that the Compact range of readers and keypads can only be used on interior doors, and can only protect the door one-way (although a second unit could be used on the other side, it's programming would need to be done separately). The Switch2 range of equipment use an ACU (Access Control Unit) and independent readers, allowing for high-security tamper proof external use, and they also support two-way control on each door.

Both Compact and Switch2 systems support "zoning" with upto 3 independent zones being possible. All manner of equipment can be controlled using Compact and Switch2 systems thanks to volt free contacts and the use of contactors.

School Diagram

The diagram above shows a school canteen with 3 areas secured using Compact Readers. Different types of users are issued different colours of token. This simple example demonstrates how multiple compact systems can be configured to provide grouped access rights

Shadow Cards
Example Shadow Card Booklet

What happens when an employee leaves the company? Simply present the "Shadow" card to each reader and the users card will be barred from being used.

Keypad Control
Keypad Control

Keypads can also be fitted to both the Switch2 and Compact systems, and feature a handy "Call" button to act as a doorbell. Upto 50 different codes can be programmed into them, however due to the tendency of people to give out codes, we do not recommend their use for high security applications!

Multiple Doors

Office Setup
This example illustrates 5 doors in an office secured by Net2

net2 1 Net2 software
The access control system is administered from the PC using the Net2 software. Users can be added, reports created and much more.
2 Communications converter
This device connects directly to the serial port of the Net2 PC. It connects the control units with the PC.
3 Door components
Control unit - 1 required for every door. Able to permit or deny access to users without communication to the PC.
Reader - 1 or 2 readers can be fitted to each door. A wide range of readers are compatible with Net2 including proximity, magstripe, keypads and biometric.
Exit button - Any ‘push to make’ button can be used.
Electric lock - The Net2 control unit has voltage free relay contacts. This means that Net2 is capable of operating any type of electric lock.

Net2 is more than just a multiple door control system. It also supports time carding, with a separate ACU and two readers mounted in a central location (or multiple ACU's and readers in several locations!) you can use the handy software supplied free of charge to monitor your employees working hours, holidays, sickness and dental/hospital appointments. They simply swipe their fob in front of the reader when they arrive, and swipe again on the other reader when they leave.

Net2 can also be integrated with your existing alarm system, setting and unsetting the alarm when the last person enters or leaves your building. Only authorized users can enter the building and unset the alarm, preventing false alarms and meaning you don't need to give out alarm codes to your employees. (N.B. This functionality may require your alarm company to modify your system's setting abilities if you have a monitored and/or maintained system)

Email notification can be used to monitor events, problem employee turning up late? Get an email the moment he arrives! Someone trying to go somewhere they shouldn't? Get an email when it happens.

As well as doors, pretty much anything can be controlled from simple low voltage items, to high voltage machinery, using relay and volt free contacts, as well as toggle able control, you can secure dangerous equipment without locks and keys.

All events are logged in a central database, viewable at any time using the Net2 software.

Carpark Demo
The illustration shows how Net2 is used to control access through a car park barrier. Hands free technology makes gaining access to the car park convenient for authorized users.

net2 Wireless

1 Token
Those users that require hands free access are issued a hands free token.
2 Reader
In this instance a 2.0m read range is required and the reader is mounted to a metal post.
3 Hands free interface
This device converts standard readers to hands free. It is wired in between the reader and the Net2 ACU. Located within 15m of the reader but not behind metal objects.
4 ACU
1 ACU is required to operate the barrier. The control unit can be located at the barrier or in the building.

New for 2007 is Net2Air, a powered fob system allowing upto 2m read range on a fob, enabling you to walk up to a door and have it open, without holding the fob next to the reader (typical reading range is 10-15cm maximum). Users can be controlled in a highly customizable manner, giving certain users certain access at specific times only.

Pin and Fob can also be used with special proximity keypads, allowing an extra level of security when required, perhaps only out of hours!
